Packing List for a Chicago Wedding

I've added my upcoming travels to the right side of the blog.  Chicago is next up! We're headed to the Windy City for the wedding of B's friend.  B is a one of 10 groomsman! He's an old pro - I think this is his 5th time.

Anyway, I thought I'd share what I am planning on bringing.  I am a classic "overpacker," but if you have the room, why not bring a few options?  Although, I have to say I'm pretty proud of myself for only bringing two pairs of shoes. I love having shoes that I can just slip on and off for the security line - hence the boots.  And when you take off the boots you still have socks/tights on to keep you from touching the gross floors as opposed to flats which are usually worn without socks.

We're arriving close to the time of the rehearsal so I will wear the grey dress on the plane so I can go straight from the airport to the church and then to the rehearsal dinner, thus eliminating the need for another outfit. The blue dress is for the wedding itself (obvi). The scarf, grey striped shirt and jeans are soooo very comfy - almost like pajamas to wear home on the plane after a weekend of too much drinking celebration.

*I'll talk about my weekend bag and transporting a silk dress successfully in another post.

Welcome to my blog! I have spent a lot of time thinking about how to start this first post - whether to just dive in or to sort of give an outline of what this blog will be about. I suppose there is something to be said about setting the stage. So here we go!

I love travelling and my fiancée, "B," has a job where he travels around the world. I am fortunate enough to join him on some trips, as well as going on a few of my own. This blog will try to cover various travel topics including lists, tips, reviews. Oh, won't you come fly with me?
